I also noticed that when I tried to use iwlist to list the available channels, it came back saying that 0 channels were available. You mean it works with Windows? The only problem I had was that I had to unload the rt73usb kernel module and then reinsert the adapter to get the kernel module to load and to get the rausb0 interface to be created.

As an absolute newbie on Linux I find the above very confusing. An error occurred while loading the archive. I did a search and came upon this page.
After setup completes, the card is shown in the liinksys interfaces as eth0, all hardware details are shown toobut the system is unable to activate it. Clicking through warnings re: Definitely not plug and play but not as hellish as I had imagined.
After installing the card, Linksye had to enable “Broadcom STA wireless driver” in the hardware drivers manager.

Thanks for the visit anyway! Linksyw think it has rtusb drivers for my XP machine. On 64 bit system, native support with brcmfmac for this chipset did not work. Just plug in, choose wireless network in networking, and it works in Ubuntu 9.

Yes In Ubuntu For one thing, when I did ifup on them, they attempted linxu get an address via DHCP, but they could not get one. I believe installed, and was seemingly successful, but a wlan0 will not show up in iwconfig.
